Dr. Rijken retired as Principal and CEO of Cardijn College, leaving an indcedible mark on the institution overseeing 1950 students and 240 staff across three campuses.
His expertise extends beyond executive school administration to educational research at Curtin University, where he serves as an Adjunct Research Fellow, and part-time lecturing at the University of Adelaide. Dr. Rijken’s leadership roles in educational associations, including chairing the special interest group “Learning Environments” in the American Educational Research Association (AERA), highlight his dedication to improving learning environments.
With accolades including a PhD in Mathematics and Science Education, Dr. Rijken’s commitment to educational excellence is unparalleled. His diverse background as a retired senior Army Reserve Officer with the Australian Defence Force adds a unique perspective to his endeavours.
