Introducing John Mula OAM, one of our QLD Education Expert Advisors

With an illustrious 40-year career in education and leadership, John brings a wealth of experience to our community with experience in a diverse range of educational settings including Preschool to Year 12 schools, day and boarding schools, city and country schools, Catholic colleges and private schools. John’s 30 years of senior educational and executive leadership has spread across four states and seven dioceses gaining valuable experience in primary, secondary, and adult vocational education.

John’s accolades, including being named a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators in 2010 and receiving the prestigious Order of Australia Medal in 2021 for services to Australian Catholic Education in the Queen’s Birthday Honors, speak volumes of his dedication and impact in Australian Catholic Education.

John has degrees in Science and Educational Studies from Griffith University and The University of Queensland respectively, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Educational Systems Leadership from Australian Catholic University, a Graduate Diploma in Teaching, a Diploma in Christian Leadership, and a Certificate 4 in Systematic Theology.

John’s past executive roles provide him with the skills, tenacity, and confidence to support and advise educators, schools, educational systems, and the wider not for profit sector.

Throughout his professional career in Catholic education, John has focused on being a leader of mission and learning. John has worked respectfully with Church leaders and in partnership with parents’ organisations to enhance the educational mission of the Church.
